| Dynamos Junior Newsletter To all old and new members of Bunbury Dynamos Junior Soccer Club, welcome back for season 2010.How to registerIf you would like to register with Dynamos you must attend one of our registration days. These will be held on:Thursday 25th February 4.30pm till 7.00pm and Saturday 27th February 2.00pm till 5.00pm at our Forrest Park Club rooms. A birth certificate or extract must be sighted at the time of registration for all new players and those moving to U/11’s, this includes those who played for another club last year. In 2010 we will not be handing out any newsletters in a written form, all correspondence will be through email. It is important for you to bring an email address that you can be contacted on to registration so it can be recorded. FeesFee’s for the 2010 season are 6-10yrs = $126.00 each and 11-17yrs = $136.00 each. There has been no increase from the 2009 season. A family discount applies to families of 3 or more children and coaches also receive a discount. As in the 2009 season REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT AT THE TIME THE REGISTRATION IS LODGED. This bring us in line with the practices of many sporting clubs today, to ease the administrative burden in following up outstanding fees and also placing us in a better financial position at the beginning of the season. Payment can be made on registration days at our Forrest Park clubrooms by either cash, cheque or money order.(there will be no electronic banking facilities available). Socks embroided with the dynamos emblem are complementary with full payment of registration fees. It will be mandatory in the 2010 season for all players to wear the club socks. There will also be a limited number of shorts and other items on sale on registration day. If you do need assistance a payment plan can be organized by contacting our treasurer. PoliciesAll of Dynamos policies are available for you to read on our website. We encourage you to view these BEFORE registering. One area that often causes confusion is our age policy. Our registration year runs from January 1st till December 31st. This means that if your child turns 6 in 2010 then they will be placed in a U/6 team, if your child turns 7 in 2010 then they will be placed in an U/7 team and so on. We try to enforce this policy with each registration, unfortunately it may not always be possible due to large numbers in certain age groups and some children may be placed in teams above their registered age. This is at the registrar’s discretion and after consultation with both the coach and parents. Many players also like to stay in the same team from year to year, the registrar does his utmost to ensure this happens but unfortunately this is not always possible and whether a player is placed in a team with a group of children they know or whether they meet new friends at soccer, all committee members and Dynamos coaches aim to give each child a positive soccer experience. The registrar spends many hours placing players into teams and his decision is final, no player will be able to switch teams once allocated without a valid reason.
Small Sided Games (SSG) Small Sided games will again continue in 2010 involving age groups U/6 to U/10. SSG are football games requiring fewer players competing on a smaller sized field. They are fun games that encourage players to have more contact with the ball because fewer players are playing in a smaller playing area. Players have more touches on the ball, more opportunities to make decisions and more actual play. Players will be more active due to playing both attacking and defensive roles within a match and will understand the importance of team mates and playing and working together. More information regarding SSG can be found at www.footballaustralia.com.au. Some of the SSG rules and playing formats have been altered for 2010, more information will be given to coaches as the season draws nearer. Training / Orientation NightFirst training date for age groups U/6, U/7, U/8, U/9, U/10 and U/11’s will be 31st March 2010 @ 4.00pm at Forrest Park. On this night you will be allocated into your teams and you will meet your coach. The first training session is sometimes confusing for new parents and players but soon settles into a regular pattern. Your assistance and patience on that afternoon is greatly appreciated, there will be a lot to get through so please be prompt. All remaining FIFA teams will be contacted by there individual coaches and advised on training times. First playing date for the 2010 season is Saturday April 24th 2010. Fixtures will appear on the Resultsvault website when all teams are finalised. Last Years Coaches and ManagersIt is sincerely hoped that all coaches and mangers will continue with their good work from 2009 and it is important that you express your intentions for the 2010 season to Chris Kinkella or Darryn O’Brien ASAP. Without more support from willing parents we have no other option but to reduce our registration numbers. All of our committee is very supportive and training can be given if needed. Team formation is reliant on coach availability, if registered players cannot be placed into a team a refund will be given. The nature of junior sport means that as youngsters pass through the ranks, committees are continually replenished with fresh faces. Dynamos Juniors is a community-based organization and for the last 36 years has been entirely run by volunteer parents. There is always a need for caring parents to put in that little bit extra for the kids sake either as a coach, team manager or committee member. Please remember, without volunteers our club cannot continue to run to capacity and it may be your child that misses out. During the soccer season we have monthly meetings at our Forrest Park Clubrooms and everybody is welcome. Looking Forward to the 2010 Soccer Season President: Chris Kinkella 97958405 Vice President: Lisa Baker 97912648 Registrar: Darryn O’Brien 97216654 Treasurer: Penny Woodwood 97215454 | ||||
