Dynamos Junior News

August 2010

The Dynamos SSG Carnival is almost here, it will be held on September 4th 2010.  The format for the carnival is very similar to last year.  All U/6 and U/7 teams will play Small Sided Games in a Round Robin format, there will be no finals and all participants will receive a medallion. All U/8’s, U/9’s and U/10’s teams will play in a more competitive format. Each team will play a minimum of three games and there will be finals at the end of the day. Please read the carnival rules before carnival day, you can obtain a copy from our secretary at sharalene@iprimus.com.au. All training equipment that was handed to you at the beginning of the season will need to be returned before Carnival Day, this includes your First Aid Kit. All equipment can be handed in on Wednesday September 1st at the equipment shed.

With over 50 teams nominated from our local area, parking is very limited so it pays to arrive early and always remember to lock your car doors. A representative from your team must check in on the day before 9.15am, failure to do so could result in your team being disqualified. We have been asked by the Bowling Club to avoid parking in their car park, co-operation with this matter would be appreciated. After the carnival finishes can all players hand your playing shirt to your team manager so they can collect them, wash them and return the completed strip to us on windup day. We will not accept any team strips that are not complete.

We run a raffle on carnival day, if anyone would like to donate a prize we would be most appreciative. Remember, this is our biggest fund raiser of the year; all money goes towards new strips and equipment for your children.

Windup

The SSG Windup will be held on Wednesday September 8th 2010. There will be two groups.

 U/6’s and U/7’s -   4.00pm till 4.45pm

U/8’s, U/9’s and U/10’s - 5.00pm till 6.00pm

Please be punctual as there are a lot of eager children all waiting to receive there trophies. Could all team managers please return the COMPLETED STRIP (FRESHLY WASHED) to Lisa Baker in the shed at the conclusion of the trophy presentations.

AGM

Please keep in mind the date of our AGM. It will be on Monday October 11th 2010 at our Forrest Park Clubrooms starting at 7.00pm. Come to the AGM, join the committee, and help your children.  Our committee is solely run by volunteers and without parental help we will cease to exist. We have one meeting, once a month for approx 2 hours. Many hands make light work.

Committee members will be available on Wednesday September 1st at the storage shed if you have any questions about the AGM, the carnival or the windup.
