Rooball Carnival  Congratulations to all teams who competed in the Rooball Carnival on Saturday the 6th of September. It was a great day with fantastic skills and sportsmanship being displayed by over 500 junior players. The following teams competed in the finals. The Dynamos Junior Soccer Club would like to say thankyou to all players, coaches, spectators and volunteers who helped to make the day a huge success. An enormous amount of effort and planning goes into the organisation of the carnival to ensure that the day runs smoothly and that the kids enjoy themselves. The only problem that occured was a temporary disruption to the power supply which did make coffee hard to get for a while. Even this was handled with the voluntary help of a couple of spectators who were electricians.

FIFA Offside Rule (Under 11 and Above)
Having just watched an Under 11 game over the weekend I was reminded of how difficult the offside rule can be to both players and parents who have just moved to the FIFA rules from Rooball. I have therefore provided links to a couple of sites to help explain this rule.
1. FIFA Website - this is a pdf document with the full rules of soccer. The Offside rule can be found on Page 34 and there are a number of diagrammatic examples starting on page 60.
2. http://www.dynamic-thought.com/OffsideClickette.html - this is a fairly easy to follow animation of the rule.

SOCKS & STRIPS Another venture that has come to fruition at Dynamos involvesLisa Baker the Uniforms Officer for the Club, Lisa worked persistently through the 2006 & 2007 season to successfully achieve- Custom made Dynamos socks and designing 10 new Quality strips from the ground up. All of the players look fantastic Lisa ! If you see Lisa at Dyanmos please thank her. GROUNDS & PITCH MARKINGAll the pitches are now marked and all the goal posts are up. Thankyou to all the volunteers that enabled this to happen. REFEREES & LINESMANThankyou to all the players that have attended courses and volunteered to be referees and linesman. COACHES, PLAYERS- TEAM MANAGERS & PARENTSMany players/teams have been observed and it is pleasing to see them having a good time and exhibiting good sportsmanship which has been modelled by the coach and parents.
